Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10-07. Roof-Able is a trade name of Goodman Enterprises. This policy says what we collect, who sees it, and the one case in which your information is provided to someone else for payment.
What we collect
- What you tell us: the property’s name and address, your answers about the job, your name, company, email and phone, your preferred dates, and anything you type in notes or to our assistant.
- What happens on your job: the estimates you were shown, the vendor you picked, the terms version you accepted with the time and IP address, the scheduled and completed dates, and whether and how the job was paid.
- How you found us: the page you landed on and campaign tags in the link you arrived from. We use a first-party cookie to keep your session together, and Google Analytics to count visits and steps, without your name, contact details or address.
- Payment: card details go directly to Stripe, on the vendor’s account. We receive the outcome of the payment, not your card number. For a check, we record the check number, amount and deposit date.
What we use it for
- To work out your estimates, pass your request to the vendor you pick, and send you the emails about it.
- To keep a record of the estimates you were shown and the roofer you chose, so we can answer questions and resolve disputes.
- To understand, in aggregate, which outreach and advertising brings customers.
Who we share it with
- The vendor you pick. When you choose a vendor and ask them to call you, that company receives your name, phone, email, the property address, your answers and notes, so it can call you, confirm the price and do the work. If you choose to call them yourself, they receive the property address and your answers, and your name or email only if you leave them. Vendors you were shown but did not pick receive nothing.
- Stripe, for card payments, under Stripe’s own privacy policy.
- Google Calendar: if your vendor schedules the job through Roof-Able, the appointment (your name, phone, email and the property address) is added to the vendor’s calendar and to Roof-Able’s scheduling calendar.
- Google, to measure the roof from above and to show you an aerial photo of the house at the top of your estimates so you can confirm we have the right one: the property’s address is sent to Google for both. What Google returns about the roof is kept for at most 30 days.
- The U.S. Census Bureau’s address service, to find which county the address is in, so you only see roofers who work there: the property’s address is sent to it.
- Our email provider, to send the emails about your request and job.
- Anthropic, if you use our website assistant: your messages in that conversation are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate replies. Don’t put card numbers or anything sensitive in the chat.
- Google Analytics, as described above.
- Advertising. We may use advertising cookies (for example from Google or Meta) so that Roof-Able ads can be shown to people who have visited this site. Those services don’t receive your name, contact details or address from us.
- Willamette Pros and its contractors, only if you choose a referral. See the next section.
- Nobody else, except as required by law or to protect our rights.
Referrals are paid leads
If a job doesn’t fit our vendors and you choose to continue to Willamette Pros, we pass along what you entered with us, including your contact details, and Roof-Able may be paid for that referral. This happens only if you click through. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone else.
What we keep about the property
We keep facts about the building with its address, such as the roof size, pitch and roofing material, and where each one came from (you, a roofer’s measurement on site, or our own estimate), so a later estimate for the same address starts from what is already known. These are facts about the building, not about you. A measurement we receive from an outside data provider is kept only as long as that provider’s terms allow, and then deleted.
How long we keep it
We keep job records for as long as they are needed for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. You can ask us to delete your information sooner where we are not required to keep it.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@roof-able.com. Oregon residents have these rights under Oregon’s consumer privacy law, and we honor them for everyone.
Vendors
If you are a vendor: we hold your company’s profile, rate tables, insurance documents and W-9, your contact details, and your payment setup with Stripe (we never see bank account or card numbers). Your verified insurance status and expiration dates are shown on your card to customers who have asked for an estimate. Your documents are emailed, as a compliance packet, to property managers evaluating your estimate who request them, after we confirm the request.
